CONTENT ID
What is YouTube's Content ID?
Content ID is YouTube's digital fingerprinting system that helps content creators identify and manage their copyrighted content on the platform. Videos uploaded to YouTube are compared against audio and video files registered with Content ID by content owners. When a video matches YouTube's Content ID registered content, a copyright notice appears.
How does this relate to Composer Squad's music?
Many music composers, including Composer Squad, have their content digitally fingerprinted via Content ID to protect against unauthorized use and piracy.
What to Expect When You Use Our Music
When you upload a video featuring our music, YouTube's system will automatically detect it and place this notice: “Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on YouTube”.
Important: This is not a "Copyright Strike." It is a standard notification that does not harm your channel's status or mute your video's audio.
Why Are There Ads on my videos?
YouTube may place ads on any video containing our music. As the copyright holder, Composer Squad receives the revenue from these ads. If you have legally licensed one of our music tracks or packs, you can use your license certificate to clear the copyright notices, these ads will go away, and you can monetize the video yourself if you wish.
How to Clear a Copyright Notice (3 Easy Steps)
If you have licensed our music, removing the notice is simple.
1. In your YouTube Studio, find the video and click on the “Copyright” notice.
2. Choose to “Take Action”, then click “Dispute” and select the option ”License” (I have permission or a license to use content claimed in my video).
3. In the text box, copy and paste the contents of your license certificate/invoice. We also recommend adding the line: "A license to use this music by Composer Squad was purchased from [Website Name]."

Once submitted, claims are typically cleared within 24-96 hours. If you face any issues, please contact us at info@composersquad.com.
